Everything's bigger in Texas
I am actually going back to Bakersfield today, but I am sitting in the waiting room with nothing better to do, so I thought it would update. My dad's surgery went well. He is still in ICU but will be moving into a room in a few hours. Yay! The doctors, nurses, everyone here at MD Anderson are wonderful. They are kind and extremely knowledgeable. The only pain my dad's in now is back pain, but they are working on it.
Anyway, my time here has been brief and stressful, but I will miss my parents. They should be returning to California at the end of the month, but we'll see how it goes. Until then, my mom will be in Houston by herself while my dad is in the hospital. I think some people are planning to come out and visit her, but we'll see. Please keep her and my father in your prayers.

I bet you can't wait for your own bed. I know long stressful trips make me want my own bed. I'm glad all is turning out for the better. How soon do you get to go back to Texas to visit your parents?

Glad to see your dad is out of the hospital and at the hotel. Now for the plane ride home. You're all still in my prayers.
