From Europe

Buono sera a Italy! I am not going to monopolize the internet too much, but I wanted to check in and let everyone know that Chris and I are still alive and well. Paris was amazing and we are currently almost done with our second to last day in Firenze. Magical trip, truly. Today was our tour through the Tuscan wine country and, as with everything else about this trip, my expectations were exceeded.

I hope everyone else is doing well and I we will see you in less than a week back in the states (sad).

It's coming!

Chris and I leave for Europe in approximately three days. I am starting to panic a little bit. I am not worried about spending two weeks with Chris (that part excites me), but I am worried that I won't get any sleep while I am there. I am a really light sleeper under the best possible conditions, and I can never get a good night's rest when I am on vacation, so there really isn't much hope for me. This wouldn't be such a big deal except for the fact that if I don't get enough rest, after about two days I will get extremely sick. it's starts as a sore throat, but within a few hours (no joke) of the first symptoms, it has usually turned into a full blown sinus infection (such a fun thing to travel with), strep throat, or toncilitis. I got a prescription for Ambien CR, but it is literally only 14 pills, the exact number of days we will be traveling. This worries me. What if I run out? What if they don't work? I can't really test them out before we leave or I won't have enough for the trip. This is the only thing that I am worried about.

So, if anyone has any suggestions for me, I would be glad to hear them!

In more positive trip-related news, a friend of mine from college made this amazing, pocket-sized travel guide to Italy (she studied abroad there and speaks Italian very well). Not only is it extremely helpful, it is also adorable. Plus, it came in the mail today (or yesterday) and got me all excited to leave on Thursday. Yay!

I probably won't update before I leave, but I will definitely post something comprehensive when I get back, with pictures!

I really need to do my homework!

The Everything Test

There are many different types of tests on the internet today. Personality tests, purity tests, stereotype tests, political tests. But now, there is one test to rule them all.

Traditionally, online tests would ask certain questions about your musical tastes or clothing for a stereotype, your experiences for a purity test, or deep questions for a personality test. We're turning that upside down - all the questions affect all the results, and we've got some innovative results too! Enjoy :-)

Personality
You are more logical than emotional, more concerned about others than concerned about self, more atheist than religious, more loner than dependent, more lazy than workaholic, more rebel than traditional, more artistic mind than engineering mind, more idealist than cynical, more leader than follower, and more extroverted than introverted.

As for specific personality traits, you are romantic (86%), innovative (79%), adventurous (69%), religious (60%).

Stereotypes
Old Geezer83%
Young Professional80%
Emo Kid78%

Life Experience
Sex29%
Substances30%
Travel41%

Politics
Your political views would best be described as Liberal, whom you agree with around 57% of the time.
  Socioeconomic
Your attitude toward life best associates you with Upper Middle Class. You make more than 56% of those who have taken this test, and 54% less than the U.S. average.

If your life was a movie, it would be rated PG-13.
By the way, your hottness rank is 57%, hotter than 37% of other test takers.

Quick Update

So much has happened in the past few weeks that warrants a post, but I am supposed to be working on my final project for Child Development, so I am not going to take the time to make a long post. So, here are a few bullet points from the past few weeks:

* Chris's brother Paul got married two weekends ago, and it was an awesome wedding. Four days of partying and hanging out with the Burzlaffs. Good times.

* I am officially registered for classes in the fall at CSUB. I just have to prove that I have been sufficiently vaccinated, give them my final transcripts, and I am good to go!

* I am almost completely done with summer school. I am in my last week of Child Development and I finished stats a few weeks ago with an A! Woo hoo!

* Tomorrow I am moving into my new apartment in Laurelglen. I got the keys today, etc. and I am so stoked! It's cute and functional. When I am settled in, I'll probably have a housewarming party, so be on the look out (if you live in Bako, although you are more than welcome to crash at my place if you are from out of town).

So, that's about it for now. I will post more next week when I have wrapped up some of the stuff I need to finish for my class and moving in.

Hope everyone is having a great week so far.
