Happy (Belated) Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving yesterday. I know I did, although I am quite sore from playing football. I really need to get back to the gym. It is really pathetic how much I am in pain.

Today is the day of the best sandwich ever-- the leftover turkey sandwich. Mmmmm...

Thank you for being a friend

It was recently brought to my attention that I don't update nearly as often as I should (ahem, Becca). In my defense, I go to Starbucks to write and I am much too cheap to spend $10 on 24 hours of internet access. Otherwise, while I am home I am not usually on my computer long enough to update. That, and I am completely boring and don't really have anything worth updating. I always manage to think of witty observations, gripes and things to say while I am sitting in traffic, in the shower, or drifting off to sleep. Unfortunately, by the time I get someplace where I am in a position to write it down, I always forget what I was going to say.

All I can think of to comment on at the moment is the utter brillance of The Golden Girls. I know a lot of people don't like it or can't appreciate it, but it really is absolutely brilliant. Talk about clever writing. Feel free to debate this with me in the comments section. Otherwise, I am pretty tuckered out. Carly, Becca and I hit up the VIP Lounge tonight for drinks and conversation. Barring a slightly awkward incident involving someone caressing Becca's inner thigh and poking Carly repeatedly, it was a pretty low-key evening. I would even go out on a limb and suggest this as somewhat of a regular hang out for the Bako gang. Of course, it's no Fishlips, but it has good music, isn't too loud or rowdy, and has cheap drinks. So, there you go. What else is there to look for in a bar?

I probably won't update again for the rest of the week, so I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving (whether you like the holiday or not)!

Blah

This has been a hard week for me emotionally. I need a vacation and, fortunately, I will be getting one here shortly. Tomorrow, I am leaving around 4PM for Bako where I will have the pleasure of spending the next 10 days. So, if you are going to be around, let me know and we will hang out!

Picture Update II

Pictures from Chris and my weekend at the Getty and pictures from this past weekend's tailgate and USC homecoming game. Some of the pictures are from the last game, but there are a few new ones, too. Better update later this week!

Vindication

After a very disappointing (for me) 2004 election, I am feeling rather giddy about yesterday's elections. Allow me to revel in this for a moment (an apology to all my conservative friends): DEMOCRATS RULE THE HOUSE! YEAH, BABY!

No matter which side of the political line you fall on, you have to acknowledge that history is being made by Nancy Pelosi, the FIRST EVER female Speaker of the House. I think that is pretty cool, and hopefully she will do womankind proud and prove once and for all that politics does not need to be a phallocentric world.

Plus, none of the (in my opinion "bad") propositions passed in California. Woo!

Head Banger's Ball

It has been a very busy few days. Chris came down this past weekend we were going the whole weekend. Thursday was sushi followed by a fantastic concert at the Roxy given by the amazing James Hunter. Friday, Chris drove into Hollywood to have lunch with me and check out my new workplace. After work, we met up with Blake, Robert, Natlaie Martin and her boyfriend Scott for dinner and to see Flushed Away. It was definitely worth a second watch, and I actually think I enjoyed it more the second time (it might have been the two large margheritas I had with dinner, though). Saturday, we went to the Getty and wandered around. However, the most exciting thing happened before we even got to the museum. We were waiting at a light and I was looking at the guy in the car next to us (oh, you know you do it to!), and I said, "Hey, that looks like the guy from Will & Grace." He agreed, but that was the end of it. Well, the same car ended up next to us at the next light and this time, the guy was totally rockin' out to the radio. Chris and I both stared, and he turned and looked right at us. It was the guy from Will & Grace, Eric McCormack. It was great catching a celebrity in a moment of humanity.

So, that was pretty much my weekend. The only thing on my agenda for the near future is the USC football game on Saturday. I am excited since I had such a blast last time, and now I kind of know what is going on. :)

Hope everyone's having a great week!
